Updated: July 2008
Along with the general list below in the left margin... There
are some urgent & practical things Source is lifting up
and we invite you to pray with us. Some of these have been expressed
in the prayer room during the 24/7 prayer weeks in the past.
Others are specifics of our on going outreach and programs.
This can be an overwhelming list: we tried to start the list
with some overall themes of how we would ask people to pray
with us at the top of the page and then give more details below.
Please don't feel you need to pray for each one, but pray with
us as you feel lead. We also have a heart to have others praying
along side of us: email us and let us know how God is directing
you to pray. Also let us know if you want to be on a monthly
prayer update list

Fallout Art Fest
Saturday, July 19, we are hosting our 6th annual Fallout Art
Fest. Pray for all who are helping and involved in the event.
We will have around 2,000 people here for music, art, dancing,
food and celebration. It will be a great opportunity to spread
to good news and love of God.
New Season
- We continue to pray that and celebrate God hearing our prayers
and forming a cross generational community. We see a formation
of spiritual mom's, dad's, grandpa's, uma's, big bro's, and
big sistas. God has also lead us to develop relationships with
24-7Prayer Boilerroom Communities around the world. This has
given us a national and international extended family of communities
with a similar DNA. The new year is representing a new formation
and lots of new faces. A permanent Urban Prayer Room at the
Fallout, new prayer rythmes, a church plant along side of Source,
new infrastructure to see Source grow and continue, development
and networking, and new outreach initiatives are all part of
this new season we are in.
- Passion for Jesus and the lost
- Discernment and laborers to restructure and see a network
form around the of reaching the marginalized, the arts and discipleship
homes
- Formation of a wholistic cross-generational missional community
as God gathers new faces in 2008 through the 24/7 Boilerroom
and a church plant.
- Provision and resources as finances are stressed during this
time of restructuring.
Overall Practicals
- Finances: Art Co-op Members, and hourly studio 3 rentals,2 Large
studio renters available,Pay off Joshua House Mortgage ($140k)
by end of '08, Finances to sustain central admin/development staff
- New network of churches and individuals to be part of commitees
and boards
- Hire a bookkeeper and general administrator
- Maintaining programs during time of development
- Property restoration and maintenance
- Volunteers to help mentor, develop FAI and Transitional Housing,
restore buildings
Biggest challenges
Located in one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the country
(arts, international, urban poor), challenges of serving those
coming out of addictions and with low life skills, understaffed,
under financed, living incarnationally and raising families
in urban settings, providing house for those with low employment
skills, people group very skeptical of Christians, sexual and
drug abuses, spiritual warfare, we have grown to large for our
current infrastructure, and unity. After operating for over
10 years God seems to be leading us to set up, manage, and lead
things differently so we can handle our recent expansions and
be able to grow in the future. This is a season that much time
must be devoted to infrastructure things pray for this, and
as the demands of our ministry continue through it.
Source's Desire To see God Move:
- Renewed passion for prayer and sharing the gospel
- Seekers of Gods Presence: lovers of Jesus, lovers of worship
- More, give us more, 100 fold in next 10 years as last 10 years
- Ambassadors of the kingdom to the least of these, the left
out
- Healthy maturing community: growing, repenting, forgiving
- Cross-Generational Family to receive the lambs and prodigals
- Infrastructure to hold recent growth and be able to continue
to grow
- Forgiveness, Letting Go, Restoration
Prayer Theme: Col 4:2-6: Thankful,
Watchful, Open Doors
- May we always be thankful
- Pray that we may be watchful of how God is moving around us
- Pray for Doors to open with individual lives, within the culture,
and within people groups and institutions

Overall Prayer Requests
Discipleship Homes (Environments of
growth)
Lambs, the Prodigals -For the young and vulnerable in the family
of God, our family. May they not have to be alone and fend for
themselves, may the prodigals receive grace and support, may
they be received with celebrations of their homecoming. May
they find a family that gives them a loving place to grow: to
begin their walk, t o rest, a place where it's ok to not be
ok, where when they fail and are embarrassed and the world rejects
them they can come and find a warm fire and a hug. Where they
can be challenged to overcome and live out the plans that the
kingdom has for them. A place to have healthy friends, big brothers
and sisters, uncles and aunts, moms and dads, grandmas and grandpas

Source Community
Prayers
Source General Organizational & Urgent
Prayers (details)
New life would be breathed into Source:
- Passion for prayer and voicing the truth of Jesus clearly
- Source began in '87, and Wohlers (current directors) became
involved in '95. Pray that God would bring a fresh spirit into
many facets of Source that would allow Source to be an effective
Missional Discipleship Community that would see the marginalized
and urban poor introduced to the Kingdom and grow in being mature
followers of Christ..
Building a solid Core: (cross-generational, families,
staff, new laborers, skilled organizers)
- Pray for a cross-generational community that is at the core
of Source. Spiritual Mums and Pops that would have an adoptive
Spirit, take ownership, and help nurture the Source DNA in all
the programs, events, and people that participate.
- Pray for church formations along side of Source, direction
and discernment, and the practicals of raising and providing
for families,
- Pray for: o Source Staff and Families "
Source Organizational Prayers Source
Infrastructure:
-- Expand our current board and network with area churches and
individuals. (This will be key for future growth)
-----pray for meetings that will be happening this winter and
spring for 20 key people that want to be key parts of helping
Transitional Housing and the FAI grow
Transitional Housing & Fallout Arts Initiative
become established sub-sideries (seems not very spiritual to
pray for, but the reality is we need a new wine skin to hold
all that God has given us to steward.. this is probably to most
challenging and when in place is the most empowering aspects
to ministry)
- WE have grown since 1995 and especially over the last 3-5
years. We need an infrastructure, resources, and personnel that
is able to support the vision, facilities, programs, and community
we have grown into. Some area of operations have grown too large
for a small community to support. They are currently being stunted
and need to be repotted in a pot that can sustain and allow
them to grow to their potential. We believe this needs to be
done a different way than it has in the past and that goes beyond
our current leadership resources and giftings.
--- Property Management, Development/Grantwriting Team, operational
task forces for the FAI and Transitional Housing, and support
staff are all pieces that are currently not in place.
--- Seeing growth happen as we have been faithful with what
we are given has been a testimony of Source since 1995.
----- In 2006 the Fallout Arts Initiative (FAI) was solidified
as the Arts branch of Source grew from Creative Service Initiatives
and the Fallout Urban Art Center. The FAI now also includes
an Art Co-op and a newly refurbished 12,000 sq ft Co-op Studio
Building.
----- Since 1995 Source Transitional Housing has been a powerful
tool but one that has also demanded much time and resources.
--- To both continue and see this vision
grow in 2006 we began to announce the desire to have a subsidiary
Transitional Housing organization develop that could help resource
and network organizations, churches, and individuals to see
50 bedrooms and a farm happen by 2011. - Hiring a Transitional
Housing Director, Retiring a $200,000 mortgage on the Joshua
House 4plex and $80,000 to finish the 3rd floor (over $140,000
was raised by end of 2007), are all key prayers and significant
tasks for 2008.
--- FAI & Transitional Housing to be set up as subsidiaries
that can sustain themselves while still being rooted in the
Source Community,
--- Skilled Individuals to commit to being part of a 2 year
process
Fallout Arts Initiative (FAI):
- Art Co-op: New Members - Need Studio Renters Right Away (Praying
for 6 new members by end of March)
--- Divine Appointments for individuals to come be apart of
the Co-op. We desperately need 8-12 co-op members to rent studio
spaces and will have a 900 sq ft and 1,600 sq ft studio spaces
available with an April deadline. Pray for artist that will
be significant in helping us pioneer this vision.
- Fallout Urban Art Center: That it would be a safe, welcoming,
and appealing place for urban sub-cultures to come dwell and
build fruitful relationships and spiritually significant conversations.
--- Regulars
--- Fallout Art Openings & Events (Disgrace: good Friday service)
Future Housing (4 plex behind Fallout)
We would love to be able to own the 4plex directly behind the
Fallout Urban Art Center. One of our staff was told by the caretaker
that it will be selling shortly. It needs lots of work as well.
Pray we contact the owner and the financing can be worked out.
Discipleship Farm
Volunteers & Mentors
construction volunteers as well as those with a vision to come
be part of communities that provide an family/environment of
growth.
