We Make Contact and Gain Trust by having outreach teams in the
clubs, coffeehouses, and streets as well as hosting welcoming
and appealing events at the Fallout Urban Art Center. Music
shows, an urban summer art festival, community meals, interactive
events, community studio space, artists in residence, a gallery,
and outreach staff offices are all a part of making the Fallout
a hub for outreach. Individual relationships, discussion groups,
Bible studies, and Alternative Worship allow more opportunities
to voice hope and truth.

Staying in relationships to mentor and disciple is a priority.
Role models and advocates are needed to build into relationships
of a generation where so many are scarred by broken homes. Spiritual
Discipleship, advocating, life skill training, and goal setting
are all apart of mentoring at Source.

Drugs, prostitution, negative relationships, unemployment, and
education issues have been part of what we have seen young people
need to overcome. Source sees no greater need than for healthy
environments in which young people may grow. Many young people
also have a huge hunger for a healthy family and community that
they never were a part of. Since 1995, Source has provided a
variety of community housing opportunities that have allowed
individuals a place to grow in their faith and become more stable:
Making a break from the past and setting a foundation for the
future. Nearly 100 residents, interns, and staff have been a
part of community houses since June of 1995. Other creative
housing solutions throughout the years have included young adults
moving in with staff or volunteer families, sponsoring a temporary
apartment, and a women's growth house. In 2003 the Greenhouse
Women's Community began.
T R A I N I N G
Over 1,500 have participated in Urban
Ministry Training (UMT), internships, outreach trips, Spring
break outreaches, Art Intensive weeks, and weekend trainings.
Raising up and equipping leaders to reach out is the best way
to multiply Source's effectiveness. We value relationships with
our culture, those in need, each other, and authentic growing
relationships with Jesus Christ. We desire to be a Missional
Community that is relevant in culture and invites the wounded
and skeptical to come partake.
