Opportunities to Get Involved:
We are currently praying for churches and individuals who would
desire to partner with Source. Whether it be financially or
through volunteer opportunities.
There are currently many needs in all area of
operation.
Outreach:
To effectively serve at-risk young people, Source combines "going
out" with hosting events, in order to make contact and gain
trust. Staff need to go to where people are and build relationships
in order to serve them and speak into their lives. Hosting events
not only communicates hope in a variety of ways, it also allows
us to be available and accessible when individuals are ready
for more. People move at their own pace. And it's important
that when they're ready, we're there as friends who can serve
their physical and emotional needs, and as voices of God's love
and forgiveness. Funds are needed to continue to keep the Fallout
Urban Art Center open as well as cover outreach expenses.
Fallout Arts Initiative:
- Handicap Accessible Entry (Coop Studio Building: $80,000 to
make upper 4,000 sq ft handicap accessible)
- Fallout Art Cordinator Sponsors (FAI is in need of a fulltime
Art Cordinator: $32,000 annually)
- Creative Service Sponsors (workshops, after school programs,
Drum&Easel interactive art parties in shelters)
- Theatre/Dance Company Scholarship (help make studio space
afordable to local theatre and dance companies)
- Emerging Artist Sponsorship (sponser studio space and artist
in residence for young emerging artist)

Housing
2007 Goal: Retire Joshua House Mortgage & Attic Restoration
$140,000 over 50% of Capital Goal Reached Source Transitional
Housing is taking on a bold vision to see a network that would
include 50 bedrooms, an Opportunity Farm and support staff by
2010. The Joshua House represents 9 of the 50 Bedrooms. Paying
for the current facility (retiring mortgage and finishing the
attic) and securing $60,000 of annual program cost is our first
step in giving 100's young people opportunity to overcome for
years to come. The total Capital Goal has been to retire the
$200,000 mortgage and to finish the attic. Through March 2007,
over $60,000 in donations and the $80,000 Youthworks Grant.
We hope to see the remainder of the funds come in by the end
of 2007.
