24/7 Prayer Journal

Col 4:2: Thankful, Watchful, Open Doors

Thank you all for joining us in prayer for this whole week. There Lord has been so gracious and faithful to us. He is already answering many prayers. The greatest news is that last night at the wrap-up, a brother named Nick who recently moved into the Joshua House, received Christ as Lord!

Welcome a new brother into the Kingdom!!!
During our worship time Greg got some direction for Nick, who moved into the Joshua house a week ago. We gathered around him to pray for him and he just gave his life to the Lord. Hallelu Yah! Jesus fill him with your Spirit, lead him in your truth and protect him. Lord you are so gracious and good. Bless you Father!! Let there be many more new creations in this place God. Rescue many from the darkness they are in now Father.

We will begin updating the journal on Thursday, January 24th, and will update it at least once a day throughout the week of prayer. As the journal is updated please read through and join us in praying.

Wednesday, January 23rd.

Beginning of the week of prayer; we had about 20 people gather for the kick-off. The Lord was stirring themes of his greatness and love as well as praying for spiritual mothers and fathers. We sang and prayed about God being the Everlasting God who does not grow weary but renews those who wait on him Isaiah 40:28-31.

An emphasis for prayer and meditation tonight has been the incarnation and the power of the cross. It is in the death of Jesus that he has defeated death and freed us. 2 Corinthians 5:14-15; Hebrews 2:9-10;14-15. Let the fruit of this be true tonight in this city. Many are dying, many are caught in destructive patterns leading towards death and many will perish. O, Lord, you gave yourself that they may live forever. Father, you long that none should perish because your Son has already suffered death on behalf of all. Let the gift of eternal life be poured forth in Minneapolis tonight.

Thursday, January 24th.

2-6 AM Shift Started with communion. Then a lull at the beginning of the changeover. Really sleepy. Then we broke through just after 3 AM for some rocking intercession for Minneapolis, North Korea, the upcoming Leap Day event.

We prayed for unity in the churches in the Twin Cities.
We prayed for pastors and leaders to NOT put ministry above their families.
We prayed for health and healing to the Wohler family.
We overall are feeling the presence of the lord as we head towards the 5 o'clock hour

7PM
I was so anxious to get to the prayer room tonight. God is stirring an excitement in my heart to spend time with Him. What a privilege to be here. I praise you Lord for the hands that set up this space. I thank you for the sacrifices made for this ministry. I thank you Lord for the Wohler family and all the staff and volunteers. Strengthen and encourage them. Place your hedge of protection around their homes. May the Fall-out become a place that is known for extravagant hospitality. May it be a place where many find belonging and family for the first time in their lives. May we see many souls come into your family. May we see many grow up into maturity. May we walk with our brothers and sisters in love and understanding. Father, increase our loyalty and let us lay down our lives and consider one another above ourselves. Thank you Jesus……

10pm-2am

a lot of excitement and energy to pray tonight. We gathered together to pray. A real sense of just exalting the Lord and declaring his name, his character and his authority. We prayed for his kingdom to come on earth as it is in heaven; for his kingdom to come in Minneapolis. We prayed for intimacy with the Father and the revealing of the mystery of his Son.
There was a focus on those who are addicts to drugs, alcohol, etc. We prayed specifically for all who are getting high tonight, that God would bring revelation and conviction in their hearts.
We prayed for each believer in the Twin Cities, to be strengthened with might by the Holy Spirit, to be refreshed and encouraged.
We prayed for the pouring out of dreams and visions and the spirit of prophesy as promised in Joel 2 as well as Acts 2.
We prayed for unity in the body of Christ in Minneapolis.
We prayed for the nations that are in Minneapolis. We asked the Father to equip us in how to ministry and reach these nations, especially Somalia.
We cried out for the homeless out in the cold tonight that God would hear their cries and answer them; that the church would be moved with love. We asked for the eyes of Jesus, for the compassion of Christ as we see the multitudes that need him.

Earlier today as I was in the prayer room I was struck with some words in Isaiah 53. It says that the servant of God had no beauty or majesty that would attract him, that he was despised and rejected by men, that he was a man of sorrows, familiar with suffering. This is how Jesus came to be with us. He is still with us like this today. He longs to show his compassion to all who are hungry, needy, alone, betrayed, etc. because he is familiar with suffering. Lord be near all of these ones, show them that you are near and a comforter.

Luke 5:17 "And the power of the Lord was present for him to heal the sick." Luke 6:17-19: "He went down with them and stood on a level place. A large crowd of his disciples was there and a great number of people from all over Judea, from Jerusalem, and from the coast of Tyre and Sidon, who had come to hear him and be healed of their diseases. Those troubled by evil spirits were cured, and the people all tried to touch him, because power was coming from him and healing them all." Lord let your power come and heal the sick in this place.

Friday January 26 Nightwatch
I am increasingly aware of a growing number of individuals, marriages, families, churches, ministries that are in the midst of major trials and hardships. There is such a shaking in the body of Christ right now. The word the Lord is speaking tonight is PERSEVERE. He is strengthening our faith through these trials so that when we have persevered through them we will be like Christ, the faithful and true witness. He is raising up a bride who is faithful and loyal to him. PERSEVERE. Hebrews 10:32-39; 1 Peter 1:3-9.

Community Night Saturday, January, 26th 5pm-10pm.

A gathering of lots of folks and families in the greater Source family. Show your power O, Lord our God. We pray for your power in Minneapolis, in our families, in this city. Come heal the sick and the broken. Send your power O Lord our God. Give us new songs tonight, give us freedom in your Spirit. Gonna sing a new song to you o Lord. Gonna sing with all my soul. Hallelujah to the Lord. Give us boldness to run to your throne of grace. Refresh our hearts and our spirits. A new season for Peter and Jessica, for Source and so there are lots of new faces around.

Highlights from the week:
- prayer for the arts Thursday night; a young man welded a brain in a cage near our front step as a sign that we are close minded. The sister of this young man came into the prayer room and we got to pray for her. Please pray for this young man, his sister and all the students at MCAD.
- A young man had a dream while sleeping in the prayer room. The dream was an encouragement that Christ is with us in the midst of our trials. This confirmed one of the prayer themes for this week already.
- People have been encountering God in the prayer room, getting a lot of revelation and encouragement. Mark H. said he has been wondering why he has not been doing the nightwatch more!
- Intimacy with the Father.
- We still have 4 more days of this week of prayer and are excited about what God is going to continue doing. Hallelujah!

What kind of God would be so excited about us spending some time with you that you would come and touch us? You are good. Lord you are calling out to the broken, the lonely, the weak, and the weary that you might heal them and restore them. Father, let their hearts and ears be opened tonight to hear your call. Though we are broken let the joy of the Lord be our strength.

Corporate prayers
-Somalia community has huge potential. Pray for the churches and Source that we would have grace to minister to this community. Pray for the few Somalian Christians that they may be strengthened to love other Somalians. -Isaiah 61:1-3. Father, let your Spirit be upon us to do the very ministry that your Son did. Let your kindness lead to repentance, your mercy triumph over justice. Let your mercy fall like rain, let it wash our sins away. Bring your people to yourself again Lord. Show me your heart. Let me weep for the things that make you weep and go where you are going Lord.
-Prayer of seeing Source be a friend and a voice of God from December 2005. We repeat it as a prayer and as praise for God is doing this now. God let us be friends of God, friends of each other, friends of the lost, least and left out. May we give ourselves to intimacy that we may go to new places. May we form truly Christ-centered communities. Dignity. Hospitality. Heart of the prodigal father. Voice for the voiceless. A voice for the Gospel. Holy Spirit let there be co-laborers that want to be family, that want to see your kingdom come, that know life is short. We pray for diversity of peoples and giftings.
-We pray for Mohamoud Ali and his family. Speak to him in dreams and visions; bring him here that we can speak to him of your love.
-We pray for Jake who made the brain in the cage sculpture. Speak to him Lord, heal him of his hurt, his anger. -Prodigals/Transitional Housing

Sunday, January 27th, nightwatch.

Jesus bring your freedom and love over the youth of this city. I pray for the young men and women caught in the spirit of this age. Break the chains and veils Father. Come O Lord over those who are given to such depravity and lies. Give them family besides gangs. Give them love besides broken unhealthy relationships. Set them free tonight Jesus! Come, just as when you walked this earth. Come in your deep compassion, beyond what a human is capable of. Speak over them this radical word tonight: "As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now abide in my love." John 15:9. Pour out your spirit of adoption tonight Father. Break off the rejection that so many carry with them. Be near the lonely and those who feel rejected tonight. Let your spirit of adoption minister to them tonight Father.
You are what we desire. Your presence is what we need and long for God. Come, be near, in this city, in this place!

2-6 AM Nightwatch

Habakkuk 2:2-3 (New Living Translation) "The he Lord said to me, 'Write my answer in LARGE, CLEAR LETTERS on a tablet, so that a runner can read it and tell everyone else. But these things I plan won't happen right away. Slowly, steadily, SURELY the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, wait patiently, for it will SURELY take place. It will not be delayed."

Galatians 6:9 (New Living Translation) "So don't get tired of doing what is good. Don't get discouraged and give up, for we will reap a harvest of blessing at the appropriate time."

Now is the time to study and review these truths. The vision will surely come to pass. We will reap a harvest of blessing. Amen Lord! Let this be so. Perseverance Lord! Give us the strength to endure till the end. We continue to pray in the night for the Boiler Room to burn brightly beyond this initial week of prayer. We pray that the prayer room would be filled in a regular rhythm beginning January 31st. Propel us Lord into another ORBIT of your love.

We prayed this morning for young adults to return to a proper understanding of God's authority as God raises up Spiritual Mothers and Fathers. We need to continually go back to and revisit the University of the Spirit.
"Teach us your ways, Oh Lord!"
We pray for an increase in the teaching and modeling of the doctrine of Availability and Vulnerability. We pray for an increase of Teachability and Desparation in the hearts of young adults. That their hunger for the truth would help overcome nagging authority "issues"
We pray for the Poor in our community of Minneapolis. We pray that we would be INTENTIONAL to find out their stories. We pray that we would be-friend the poor. We pray that we would be a friend to the poor. That we would LISTEN first. And understand. We pray that we would reach out not seeking anything in return. No strings attached Lord. We want to know the poor, and love them because there we find you Jesus! Amen.

Finally we spent time praying for CENTRAL AMERICA by country names. We pray for the believers there in: - Southern Mexico (Oaxaca) - Guatemala - Honduras - Nicaragua - El Salvador - Costa Rica - Panama - Belize Strengthen the resolve of the believers there. Encourage them with signs and wonders! Awe and Wonder be among them. May they see you Jesus!

Monday, January 27, 2008, nightwatch

There is a real emphasis of prayer for the church in Minneapolis tonight. As we have been praying for physical healing of broken bodies this week, the Lord has moved me to pray for healing for his body.
Prayers for the Church in Minneapolis
- John 17:20-26. Unity in the name of Jesus. Let Minneapolis be known as a city where Christians are united.
- Colossians 1:24-2:3. The Word of God in its fullness; the mystery of Christ in us, the hope of glory; every believer perfect, mature in Christ and the church encouraged in heart and united in love. Reveal the Word of God in fullness-the mystery of Christ. Let every believer be presented as perfect/mature in Christ. Let us be encouraged in heart and united in love that we ma know the mystery of God, namely Christ, in whom are hidden all treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
- Ephesians 4:1-16. The building up of the body of Christ in love until all reach unity in the faith and knowledge of the Son of God. Father raise up your apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers in this city to equip and prepare your people. Stir up the gifts in each one and guard them from trying to operate outside of their gifts or calling.

Father, I pray for all the artists, musicians, dancers, etc. in the church. Father, stir their hearts with a desire to worship you with the gifts you have given them. May they be encouraged to use what you have given them. I pray that you would raise up the arts for the kingdom in this city. Father, commission your people in 2008 to love you and exalt with you the arts. I also ask for those who are skeptics and use their art to lead others astray. Rescue them and redeem them Father. Turn them around to worship you with their art as a great testimony of your love. Raise up musicians filled with your Spirit to proclaim the good news of the kingdom in new ways in 2008.

Lord I ask for wisdom, counsel and direction for Source. Please fill Peter, Jessica, Jeff and others with a knowledge of your will. What is on your heart in this season? What are the things we are to pour energy, time and resources into? What are the things we need to let go of in 2008? Please direct our steps that we can be effective for your kingdom in Minneapolis. Thank you for the people you are bringing along side us, to be family and to work with us for the kingdom. Bless you Jesus!

Jesus, be with the Transit brothers and sisters as they settle in Kansas City for a few months. Speak to them and encourage their hearts. Give them endurance and discipline to read/study your Word and pray. Draw them to you and shape them to be more like you. Prepare us to welcome them and serve them when they come here in March.

Jan 28 2008 2-6 AM

We continue to pray for the church in the city, the Twin Cities, and God we specifically lift up the church in St Paul. I pray you would open the door to the young adults living in St Paul at McNally Smith school of Music. We pray for the artists and musicians there to find a home with spiritual mothers and fathers. We pray for a branch of Source in St Paul.

We pray ACTS 2 would come and be the model once again for church here in the cities. We pray for pastors and leaders struggling with their marriages and sexual temptations.\ Build strong marriages Lord, Repair broken ones.

International Prayer focus this morning: Paraguay and URUGUAY! Lord have mercy on those countries. Pour out your spirit in a fresh way. Send harvest workers to the ripe fields of Paraguay and Uruguay. Protect the believers who may be imprisoned for their faith right now Jesus. Rescue them. Set the Free, Bring food and water to them, Supernaturally.

We also prayed Ephesians 3, the Lord's Prayer and Isaiah 55! The Height, the Width, the Length and Depth of the Love of Christ. May we experience it Jesus!

January 29, 2008, evening.

Jesus. The Name of Jesus is worthy to be praised. Jesus, the Name above all other names. Jesus, the one whose very word created and sustains all things. Jesus, the most powerful Name not only in the present age, but also in the age to come. Jesus, the Name at which every knee will bow and every tongue confess that he is Lord. Jesus, the Name that all sickness, sin and death most flee at. Father reveal to us the authority of the Name of Jesus and how he has given us his Name to pray in.

Father I pray for the country of Kenya in turmoil over ethnicity right now. Pour out your Spirit and break the hatred between the Kikuyus and Luo people. Let the cross and good news of the Kingdom bear fruit in this time. I pray protection over those who are in danger and peace over those living in fear. Be with those who are now homeless refugees.

10pm-2am. Current temperature in Minneapolis, -13, feels like -40. Hallelujah! Lord let your warm presence be in this cold city tonight. Protect and provide for the homeless, cold, poor and needy. Bring them here and bring us across their path that we might share our wealth with them. Lord have mercy on this bitterly cold night. There is no place I would rather be than with you on this deep winter night. Bring revelation to your people tonight.

Lifting up the Name of Jesus and blessing him tonight. Glory, honor, power, majesty and praise be unto the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I pray for the country of Guatemala tonight, Father, that your kingdom would come there as it is in heaven. I pray for the believers to be strengthened and conformed into the image of Jesus. I pray that by your mercy there might be day and night prayer established in Guatemala City.

I pray for Source Father. Thank you for all the things you are stirring up and already doing here. Thank you for the new faces and people coming alongside us. I pray that you would protect us from putting anything before you. Strengthen us to continue loving you as our first love. Protect us as lots of ideas, opportunities and ministry initiatives begin forming. Let nothing come before you, before intimacy with you and abiding in Christ.

January 30th 2-6 AM

I can't believe this is the LAST NIGHT. Wow. What a blessing. So many cool prayers in the middle of the night. Again prayed Matthew 6 that we would seek HIS kingdom first. Spent much time praying for Leap Day and the birth of Triibe Minneapolis.
Prayed for Phoenix Arizona this week with the Super Bowl.
Prayed for Paul Ridgeway and that he would lead some people behind the scenes At the Super Bowl to Christ. Prayed for his protection.
We pray this morning for Continued healing.
I continue to pray for many to begin walking out of hospitals COMPLETELY HEALED by the Lord.
Prayed heavily for SOURCE. For those with the financial resources to get a heart for The work here

Testimonies at the Wrap-up.

Mark H: had a great time and was never alone. He will gladly do it again.
Jeremy: this week and place is an answer to prayer. I am the essence of a prodigal son. Starting to see the big picture of Jesus. He is working on a project to share his story. "Fallen."
Tony: the most profound thing was the door being open all the time for the whole week. No matter what time there will be at least one person with the Lord.
Holly: reassurance of the vastness of the presence of the Lord. Being in the prayer room makes it seem like all the worries are quiet.
Jessica: got to come down here multiple times and usually gets to come for maybe 30 minutes total.
Dana: really encouraged by how many people have been showing up for things. There is nothing like spending 5 hours in a row in a prayer room just to hear from God. Lots of direction for life, for Source and God confirming things. Coming into a season of going and doing as well as continuing to rest in him. Whole week has been a joy.
Carlos: been an awesome time. Meet a cool older couple that prayed with me and shared some Scripture that was for him.
Peter: Sunday night was a wonderful night. Natural animosity when we say, 'We are going to have a healing night.' We haven't got any reports of miraculous physical healings but we are going to have many more nights like this. A real word from God: praying for complete healing for Cindy and thought that was just physical healing. Realizing that it includes inner healing. The Lord is saying the Boiler Room is to be a place of healing for people: physical, emotional, spiritual-complete healing.
Natalie: had some back pain and got prayed over and felt really good. Lots of peace in her body. Wednesday night was a testimony for her as well. She had been in a car wreck, had a huge decision for jobs and needed to sing. Her back is wonky and after the accident an X-ray showed two of her places were more aligned. The value quoted to her for her car is double what they expected.
Ian: played guitar and it was fun. Prayed for his grandma a lot. I like prayer rooms. It is really nice to have a space dedicated to prayer. Stared at the map for a long time and looked at every country he could see. It brought up some ideas he had a couple years ago that maybe he should do.
Ben: didn't spend anytime in prayer room but helped with worship. Natalie offered to be a vocalist and when she just started singing it was one of the best worship times he has had.
Greg H.: he has had a blast leading worship during this week. He is coming from a dry place and has been encouraged that people have a hunger for God. The healing service was a good experience. He had faith to pray for major things and the guy had a sore throat. They waited on the Lord and got some words to share for each other. Lord has been encouraging him that his Holy Spirit is alive and well. The gifts are still readily available. The healing service was just the beginning.
